Game Details All Users
Everything about a single game, reached from the Schedule tab on Home, Team Details, or Division pages.
What you see depends on whether the game is upcoming, live, or completed. Tab visibility also depends on what data is available for that particular game (not every game has highlights or play-by-play, for example). If a game hasn't synced from HockeySyte yet, you'll see a "this game isn't available yet" message instead of a blank screen — pull down to refresh in a few minutes.
Upcoming games
Before a game starts, its header shows a countdown to puck-drop. The iceIQ tab (the first tab, labeled the same as its live/completed counterpart below) shows:
Your Availability
- Your Availability — In/Out buttons for any player linked to your account (see Players & Parents: Availability).
Players to Watch & pregame insights
Below Your Availability, the iceIQ tab previews the matchup:
- Players to Watch — each team's season leader in goals, assists, and points.
- Goaltending — each team's current starting goaltender, with their season record, goals-against average, save percentage, and shutouts.
- Last 10 Games — each team's win-loss-tie record over its most recent 10 completed games.
- Team Stats — a Power Play %/Penalty Kill % and goals-for/against comparison, shown when the division publishes those stats.
Tap a team's name or logo in the header to jump straight to that team's page.
Roster
The Roster tab is available as soon as a game's details have loaded — for upcoming, live, and completed games alike. For an upcoming game it shows:
- A link through to Manage Lines (or View Lines, once set) for this game.
- The full roster split into In, Out, and Unknown lists — team managers/admins can tap any player here to set their status directly (see Managers & Coaches: Changing availability), send a reminder push notification to one Unknown player, or tap Notify All to remind every Unknown player at once — a Notified timestamp then shows under their name.
- Each team's own Penalty Box Attendant card, with Allocate Attendant/Reassign for managers — home and away are assigned independently.
A Coaches Notes tab is also available before the game to managers and admins (see below).
Live & completed games
iceIQ
Once a game goes live, its iceIQ tab switches from the pregame preview to the score header and this game's stat charts — goals, penalties, game pulse (momentum over time), and shots — the same chart types used at the division and team level (see Division iceIQ). While the game is in progress, scores, shots, and stats refresh automatically (about once a minute), and a live countdown clock shows time remaining in the current period. Tap a player's photo marker on the Goals, Penalties, or Pulse chart to see their goals, assists, points, and penalty minutes at that point in the game. Goal markers and play-by-play entries also show the type of goal — Even Strength, Power Play, Shorthanded, or Empty Net.
Roster
For a live or completed game, the Roster tab keeps the Lines link, roster In/Out/Unknown lists, and each team's own Penalty Box Attendant card from above, and adds:
- Player Stats — box-score style stats per player for this game, sourced from HockeySyte, split into each team's own tab.
Awards
Once a game is completed, a dedicated Awards tab appears alongside Roster, showing:
- Game Stars — HockeySyte's 1st/2nd/3rd star of the game, for both teams. Sourced from HockeySyte and not editable in-app.
- Team Awards — Swayzes' own app-created awards, shown and allocated separately for the home and away team (see Managers & Coaches: Assigning Team Awards). Each award card shows the recipient's stats for that game. Tap a card to view, download, or share it.
Game Log
A chronological log of notable game events (goals, penalties, etc.) as recorded by HockeySyte. Available as soon as the game starts, not just once it's finished.
Play-by-Play
A detailed, play-level breakdown of the game. Also available as soon as the game starts.
Brief
A short written recap/article for the game, when one is available.
Highlights
Video or clip highlights for the game, when available.
Coaches Notes
Visible only to the team manager/admin of each side, and kept fully separate between the two teams. See Managers & Coaches: Coaches Notes.
